William Shatner Celebrates Star Trek’s 47 Anniversary
The 1st episode of Star Trek aired on NBC, In September 8, 1966. The iconic series has noticed a resurgence in popularity recently thanks to a few new movies and stars like William Shatner and George Takei are still riding the success of the particular sci-fi program.

Shatner woke up this day and sent out an instant birthday message towards landmark show.

Shatner publishes articles, 'Good morning and Happy anniversary to your show I was fortunate enough to be a part of! @StarTrek'.

William Shatner stayed away from the Star Trek convention scene for some time but Captain Kirk is beginning to give back to his followers. He has already made some appearances this year and before this week he made some sort of 'historic appearance' at Comic-Con any time he joined Adam West (Batman) upon stage.

Shatner said earlier this year, 'I realized that I was ignoring a substantial segment of the population. We were holding the people I should pay one of the most attention to. The vast numbers of individuals coming to these conventions… There are some wonderful fans out there, more and more them. '

It’s been 47th years since Star Trek 1st aired but Shatner continues to be, and forever will be, called Captain Kirk. But that doesn’t signify the actor isn’t exploring new creative endeavors. He recently released that she would be releasing a gradual rock album.

But today’s focus is not about William Shatner’s tunes career. It is about Star Trek.
