Actor Sanjay Dutt Granted Fourteen Days Break From Pune Prison!

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, with prison since May, achieved his Mumbai home The following Tuesday afternoon after being granted fourteen days of leave because he could be unwell.

'I'm a rules abiding citizen. I would like to spend this time peacefully with my family,' he said for you to reporters before entering his house in Bandra where he used to live with his partner Maanyata and their a pair of children Iqra and Shahraan.

The 53-year-old actor seemed to be sentenced in March by the Supreme Court to five years in prison in a case from the 1993 terror attack with Mumbai, in which 250 people died in serial bombings. He was convicted for possession of automatic rifle and a pistol which are supplied to him by men subsequently convicted with the bomb blasts.

The Supreme Court lessened his prison sentence to five years from the six-year term initially passed down.

The actor had served 18 months in jail before released on bail in 2007 imminent an appeal, so he was ordered to shell out the next 3 1/2 many years behind bars.

Mr Dutt had earlier been acquitted in the more serious charges involving terrorism and conspiracy.

The 1993 serial bombings were seen at that time as the world's worst terrorist attack, with 13 bombs exploding over a 2-hour period across Mumbai. Powerful explosives were loaded into cars and scooters left near India's main Bombay Stock exchange and other sites from the city. Apart from the actual 257 dead, more than 720 individuals were injured in the strike.
